ViaSat Inc. (Nasdaq:VSAT) has delivered the 2000th Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modem for U.S. Department of Defense teleport and U.S. Navy operations. The MD-1366 EBEM is interoperable with all legacy U.S. DoD modems, implements Mil-Std-188-165A, and includes new, efficient modes (Mil-Std-188-165B) for high-speed, point-to-point, satellite communications at fixed, quick-deploy, airborne, and shipboard installations. ViaSat also received additional follow on orders for another 100 EBEMs from the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) headquarters.
